What this site is

This website is election communication published by the campaign to elect Matthew Miller to Nanaimo City Council in the October 17, 2026 general local election. It sets out the candidate's positions, background, and priorities.

Positions described here are what the candidate intends to pursue if elected. A city councillor is one vote of nine, and most decisions also require provincial approval, funding, or staff capacity. Nothing on this site is a guarantee that a particular outcome will be achieved.

Accuracy

The campaign takes reasonable care with the information published here, including figures drawn from City of Nanaimo reports, Statistics Canada, and provincial sources. Information can become out of date, and positions can change as new information comes forward. If you find an error, write to [email protected] and it will be corrected.

Using the content

Text, photographs, and graphics on this site belong to the campaign or are used with permission.

You may quote from this site, link to it, and share its contents in the course of public discussion of the election, with attribution to the campaign. Links to other sites

This site links to news coverage, government documents, and other outside material. Those pages are controlled by other people. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the site it points to, and the campaign is not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt the site, gain unauthorized access to it, harvest contact information from it for bulk messaging, or submit false information through its forms.

Contributions

Contributions are governed by the Local Elections Campaign Financing Act and by the rules set out on the Support page. The campaign may decline or return any contribution, including one it cannot verify as eligible.

Email

Campaign email goes only to people who asked to receive it. Every message includes an unsubscribe link.

Availability and liability

This site is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. The campaign does not promise the site will be available without interruption or free of error. To the extent the law allows, the campaign is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of this site or reliance on its contents.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute is subject to the courts of British Columbia.

These terms may be updated. Any change is posted on this page with a new date at the top.
